Seeking patient care?
Dear Faculty, Trainees, and Researchers,
The Department of Medicine is pleased to invite you to participate in the 12th Annual Eugene J. Sayfie, M.D. Research Day, a celebration of the innovation, discovery, and scientific excellence of our students, residents, post-doctoral fellows, and faculty.
This year’s event will take place on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, and will feature a keynote address by Michael Snyder, Ph.D., along with poster presentations, awards, and a networking reception.
We are excited to announce that, in addition to poster abstracts, we are also accepting pilot project proposals for our “Shark Tank”–style competition, which we are bringing back after its tremendous success last year. Participants may submit:
- An abstract for poster presentation, and/or
- A proposal for the Shark Tank competition, where selected projects will be presented live to judges and the audience during Research Day.
We strongly encourage all faculty, trainees, and researchers to take advantage of this opportunity to showcase their work, share new ideas, and engage with colleagues across the Department.
Important Dates to Remember:
- January 9, 2026 – Call for abstracts and Shark Tank proposals opens
- February 27, 2026 – Submission deadline
- March 2, 2026 – Presenters notified of presentation format
- March 25, 2026 – 12th Annual DOM Research Day
We look forward to seeing you at this year’s Research Day and are excited to highlight the outstanding and innovative work taking place across the Department of Medicine.
