Seeking Patient Care?
Lymphoma research spans indolent and aggressive B- and T-cell malignancies, integrating molecular biology, immunotherapy, and clinical investigation. Faculty are global leaders in redefining lymphoma classification, developing prognostic models, and advancing novel immunotherapeutic and cellular treatment strategies.
Lymphoma research efforts are led by Izidore Losso, MD, Section Chief.
Research Highlights and Achievements
- Led investigator-initiated clinical trials incorporated into national treatment guidelines, establishing new standards of care for lymphoma patients.
- Developed new prognostic indices and imaging-based risk stratification tools for marginal zone and diffuse large B-cell lymphomas.
- Published early-phase clinical trial results in Nature Medicine and Clinical Cancer Research for patients with relapsed and refractory disease.
- Advanced cellular and immunotherapy approaches, including CAR T-cell strategies, through translational and clinical research.
- Secured major NIH and foundation funding to investigate mechanisms of disease development and develop next-generation therapies.
- Contributed to international lymphoma classification efforts, including authorship within the World Health Organization classification of hematolymphoid tumors.
