Education

Myeloma

The Division of Myeloma is launching the Advanced Myeloma Fellowship in the Summer of 2023. Advanced fellows will train at Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center's main campus and at the Lennar Foundation Medical Center.

Myeloma is a complicated disease that has shown to have better outcomes when treated by a physician specially trained in the management of Myeloma. The goal of the Advanced Myeloma Fellowship is to train fellows to provide specialized care for patients with Myeloma, as well as improve their ability to design and implement both industry-sponsored and investigator-initiated research studies. After the one-year fellowship, fellows will be expected to have specialized knowledge in the biology and treatment of multiple myeloma and the precursor disorders. Fellows will be able to conduct clinical research studies and strengthen their skills on study design, analysis, interpretation, and implementation. Each fellow will be able to provide care independently within a clinical setting and work as an academic faculty member.
