Research Training Overview
The program provides a variety of basic science and clinical research opportunities. Faculty are currently involved in clinical and basic research in a wide spectrum of endocrine and metabolic diseases, with special emphases in molecular biology, autoimmunity, mineral metabolism and bone‐cell biology, peptide hormone receptors, carbohydrate and lipid metabolism, epidemiology of diabetes and lipid disorders, and islet cell transplantation. Fellows participate in Clinical or basic science research projects under the supervision of members of the faculty.
