The Infectious Diseases Division has become a site location for the NIH/ACTG STOMP trial of TPoxx—a treatment for human monkeypox—in light of the most recent viral threat.
This study will follow participants to establish TPoxx efficacy, and will particularly provide participants the following healthcare services:
- Provides all diagnostic testing for MPX (with 48h turn around), as well as STIs and HSV for anyone with suspected MPX.
- Provides open-label TPoxx treatment same-day for anyone with severe disease, immunocompromise, pregnancy, atopic skin disease, or on certain potentially-interacting drugs.
- Provides treatment for STIs as needed.
