About the Study

Maintained and managed by the University of Miami, the Florida Stroke Registry consists of stroke data obtained from Florida stroke centers. The Registry supports the delivery of evidence-based best practices, identification of disparities, and development of future interventions to reduce disparities in acute stroke care through the systematic collection and analyses of stroke-care performance metrics. The Florida Stroke Registry is unique among other acute stroke registries nationwide as it is the first to provide a data-driven perspective of race-ethnic, sex, and geographic stroke care disparities in the state of Florida. The Florida Stroke Registry aims to improve quality of stroke care statewide through the comprehensive data collection and analysis of stroke performance metrics, outcomes, and race-ethnic, sex, and geographic disparities in stroke care performance metrics in Florida.
