Seeking patient care?
Neuro-Oncology Fellowship Program
The Neuro-Oncology Fellowship Program at the University of Miami is a one-year, UCNS-accredited clinical fellowship dedicated to the multidisciplinary care of patients with primary and metastatic brain and spinal cord tumors. The program is designed to provide fellows with a comprehensive education in neuro-oncology through clinical training, didactic instruction, and research opportunities.Program Overview
Fellows rotate through key clinical services including neurosurgery, radiation oncology, medical oncology, and neuropathology, gaining diverse exposure and in-depth experience across the neuro-oncology spectrum. Through these rotations, fellows work closely with a collaborative, multidisciplinary team and participate in direct patient care, multidisciplinary tumor boards, and case discussions.
Educational Components
The fellowship includes a structured didactic lecture series, modeled after UCNS guidelines and based on the Neuro-Oncology Core Curriculum. These sessions are led by faculty experts and are designed to reinforce a strong foundation in the diagnosis, treatment, and long-term management of neuro-oncologic diseases.
Research Opportunities
Fellows are encouraged to participate in ongoing clinical and translational research projects under the mentorship of our dedicated research faculty. These experiences provide valuable exposure to scientific inquiry and allow fellows to contribute meaningfully to advancing the field of neuro-oncology.
