Welcome to the University of Miami, Department of Neurology Headache Division. We are one of a few UCNS-certified headache fellowship programs in the country. As such, we provide an academic environment that supports the University of Miami’s clinical mission. We strive to provide excellence in headache care for those suffering with complicated headache conditions. Our approach is evidence based. We aim to provide personalized patient centered care.
Goals and Objectives
The goals of clinical encounters are to obtain an accurate diagnosis and to develop a headache care plan that emphasizes prevention, risk reduction, safety, and return to well-being. Consultation and referral services are enriched with patient education and interdisciplinary referrals when appropriate. The division is supported by an outpatient infusion center and inpatient headache unit.
