Headache Division

Welcome to the University of Miami, Department of Neurology Headache Division. We are one of the few UCNS-certified headache fellowship programs in South Florida. As such, our goal is to provide an academic environment that supports the University of Miami Health System’s mission to be a state-of-the-art academic medical center, serving the South Florida community and beyond. We strive to provide excellence in headache care for individuals with complicated headache conditions, and to promote the health and well-being of our community.

  • Innovative treatment with the latest evidence based and patient centered approaches, including neurotoxins and neuromodulation
  • Collaborative care to foster a multidisciplinary team approach as necessary through expert referrals across UHealth

Goals and Objectives

The goal of our clinical encounters is to obtain an accurate diagnosis and develop a comprehensive care plan that emphasizes prevention of headache, risk reduction, safety, quality of life, and return to well-being. Consultation and referral services are enriched with patient education and interdisciplinary referrals when appropriate. The division is supported by an outpatient infusion center and inpatient headache unit.
