Overview and Mission
The Friends of Neurology is a vital philanthropic membership group comprised of dedicated benefactors who share a common commitment to pool resources and expertise, fund projects that advance the field of neurology at UHealth, and advocate on behalf of the department. The Council’s efforts focus on, but are not limited to, advancing research, education and advocacy, and patient care in the Department of Neurology. The Council may assist with tasks deemed necessary and relevant by the departmental chair.Benefits

Involvement and Commitment
Council members are composed of all neurology donors with a cumulative gift history to the department of at least $10,000 plus any Neurology planned gift donors. The group will meet at least 3 times a year (2 in-person meetings and one zoom meeting.) Members may host additional events to secure more funding.
- Identify prospective members for engagement
- Outreach to community to promote department initiatives
- Create their own giving page specific to their area of interest
- Create awareness by directing people to UHealth locations and facilities
