Seeking Patient Care?
The pediatric audiology training program is for Doctor of Audiology students in their final year of academic training. Students from universities in all parts of the United States come to the Mailman Center to participate in a one-year fellowship.
The doctoral students are given opportunities to learn about disorders of hearing in childhood, participate as a member of an interdisciplinary team, and develop the clinical skills necessary to enter the professional world as a pediatric audiologist. The pediatric audiology training program is part of a national effort to alleviate the ongoing shortage of qualified professionals who can provide diagnostic and intervention services to infants and toddlers.
Like all trainees at the Mailman Center, Audiology trainees participate in the LEND (Leadership Development in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities) curriculum, a federally funded interprofessional training program based on family professional partnerships.
