To Apply for the Summer Research Scholarship
This nine-week fellowship is available from June - August of 2023. The purpose of the award is to provide a neurosurgical based research fellowship for students attending US medical schools or post – graduate training (Masters or PhD), who wish to gain research experience in the fields of neuroscience and neurosurgery, and have early exposure to the field of neurosurgery.
At each department, each student will be paired with a team of mentors, including neurosurgeons, neurosurgery residents, scientists, and researchers. Students will be able to participate in shadowing both in the clinic and operating rooms. Additionally, students will participate in both clinical and basic science research under the guidance of research mentors. Students will have the opportunity to gain firsthand exposure to the field of neurosurgery and its practice. Educational opportunities include attending Grand Rounds, case conferences, resident teaching conferences, and other educational programming offered to residents of the department.
