Residency Program

Department of Neurological Surgery

Our residency program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) for three residents every year.

We participate in the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS®) and the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP). To apply for a residency position please use the ERAS Matching Service website. If you are a senior medical student currently enrolled in an LCME Accredited Training Program, you must also register with the NRMP.

We accept residency applications via ERAS, starting September 15th. Our application deadline is October 15th.

Application Requirements

  • 3 letters of recommendation (preferably from other academic neurosurgeons)
  • Research experience is preferred, but not required.

We accept International Medical Graduates (IMG) who meet the qualifications listed above and who have a valid ECFMG Certificate and have completed USMLE Steps 1, 2, and 3 (at the time of application). Previous clinical and research experience in the U.S. is preferred but not required for IMG’s to apply for Residency.
