Clinical Training
Fellows will be able to provide excellent patient care that is compassionate, appropriate, and effective for the treatment of health problems and the promotion of health. Fellows will become competent in all aspects of the comprehensive management of patients with decompensated liver disease, nutritional support of patients with chronic liver disease, transplant evaluation process, and post-transplant care.
Training will take place at UHealth Tower and Jackson Memorial Hospital/Miami Transplant Institute. All the necessary resources are in place to ensure appropriate training.
Research Training
Fellows are strongly encouraged to participate in scholarly activity, which includes research projects, participation in ongoing clinical trials within the division, and/or participation in a quality improvement project. One month will be dedicated to research, divided in two 2-week blocks. Our fellows also regularly attend and present research at the AASLD Liver Meeting.
