Our trainees rotate at UHealth Tower and Jackson Memorial Hospital .
At UHealth Tower, their time is mostly dedicated to outpatient hepatology clinics, with one or two rotations in the in-patient consultation service.
At Jackson Memorial Hospital fellows perform in-patient consultation service for pre- and post-liver transplant patients, interact closely with the Division of Transplant Surgery and attend pre- and post-liver transplant clinics. In addition, there is a one-month rotation at the surgical intensive care unit where fellows are involved in the care of recent liver transplant recipients.
In addition to the above scheduled rotations, fellows maintain a weekly continuity clinic and one half-day/week of procedures. Fellows are expected to complete 30 percutaneous liver biopsies/year.
