We are lucky to do what we love in an incredibly diverse and vibrant area. Our faculty and residents use their unique skill sets and talents to reduce health disparities and increase health outcomes for the members of our community.
Selected ongoing endeavors
- UM Dermatology Wound Healing Clinic in Port Au Prince, Haiti
- Health care services to poor and homeless men, women and children at Camillus House.
- Skin-cancer screenings at various locations throughout the year (including Little Haiti, Florida City, and the Florida Keys)
- Elementary school education programs on sun safety
- Medical missions to developing nations (e.g., Haiti, Guatemala, India, Ecuador)
- SunSmartSprint — Melanoma Awareness 5K
