This program is designed to provide comprehensive care for those at increased risk for non-melanoma skin cancer (e.g., squamous cell carcinoma and basal cell carcinoma).
Our focus is early diagnosis using advanced detection technologies, early intervention, effective treatments, and preventative strategies to minimize the risk of future tumors. This program is specifically designed for patients with any of the following:
- Solid organ transplant (and solid organ transplant candidates)
- Hematopoietic stem cell transplant (and hematopoietic stem cell transplant candidates)
- Chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) or non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma
- History of multiple prior skin cancers
- Iatrogenic immunosuppression with medications including voriconazole, azathioprine, BRAF inhibitors
- HIV-AIDS
- Prior treatment with radiation therapy
- Genetic predisposition to skin cancer, such as albinism, basal cell nevus syndrome, Bazex’s syndrome, Rombo syndrome Muir-Torre syndrome, xeroderma pigmentosum, epidermolysis bullosa or those who are BRCA-positive
