Seeking patient care?
Our Department enrolls patients, coordinates, and carries out research studies. By participating in a dermatological study, you may have the opportunity to assist us in answering questions and discovering new treatments and techniques to improve dermatological conditions. If you have a disease that is currently being studied and would like to participate in a clinical trial (or would like more information about participating), please contact us at 305-243-8485.

2 Ways to Refer Prospective Subjects
- If the treating physician IS a study team
member and the patient gives their permission to be contacted, you can send us their MRN and name and we will contact them directly. - If the treating physician is NOT a study team member, the IRB considers it a HIPAA violation to send us PHI. The patient must make contact with us first. You can provide the study team's contact information, the general recruitment handout or the study-specific flyer. These will be available throughout all clinics.
Have a potential clinical trial subject? While the patient is still in the clinic?
Please have the patient call the Clinical Trial Unit at 305-689-3376 (Leave a message if no one answers)
Alternatively, have the patient email recruitforderm@miami.edu
We need the patient to tell us their name, diagnosis, and the best way to contact them (email address or phone number)
