Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation

The Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Miller School is ushering a new era of physical medicine that will transform the lives of our patients with various disabilities, diseases, and conditions.

Marked by a true spirit of collaboration between our physicians, scientists, and a committed, visionary donor, we established the Christine E. Lynn Rehabilitation Center. Within this new state-of-the-art space, we are building on our legacy of research and innovation and advancing science in physical medicine that will play an important role in improving the quality of care we offer our patients. However, to reach the next frontier in physical and rehabilitative care, continued, reliable philanthropic support is crucial.

Today, more than ever, our researchers and physicians face challenges in attracting initial funding to launch or advance their work – even for the most promising basic science and clinical research studies. A gift to the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation supports the proof-of-concept work that makes it possible for our team to earn substantial federal NIH grants. Those grants are key to unlocking the door to innovative therapies for future generations.

A gift in support of research can transform the science of physical medicine and catalyze a new stage of growth for the Christine E. Lynn Rehabilitation Center and our South Florida community.
