The Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) invites you to attend our 18th Annual Research Day. The annual event will feature presentations and keynote addresses by Dr. Kevin R. Vincent and Dr. Heather K. Vincent.

On June 11th and 14th, 2024, our department will celebrate its Eighteenth Annual Research Day with keynote speakers from the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, University of Florida, Gainesville.

Research Categories

Research categories include original research, systematic reviews, medical record review studies, etc. Case studies are not allowed under any category. Previously presented posters (National / International Conference) will be presented for digital viewing. 

PGY3 presentations – June 11

PGY3 residents are asked to submit their research ideas and work in progress. Your work should include the following: Title, Study Aims, Methods, Project Progress, Timeline for Project Completion, Mentors (up to two).

PGY4 presentations – June 14

PGY4 residents and research fellows are asked to submit their completed research.

Your abstracts should include the following: Title, Introduction, Methods, Results, Conclusions, and Mentors (up to two). All abstracts should be no more than 300 words, single-spaced, using size 12 Times New Roman font.

Presentations

All presentations will be 10 minutes long, followed by 5 minutes for questions and answers. Presentations will be scored by the PM&R Research Day Committee and based on the five criteria:

  3. Analysis and results
  4. Conclusion
  5. Clarity

Each category carries 10 points, for the total of 50 points.

Top Awards (Presented on Graduation Day - June 21, 2024)

The top three awards will be given to PGY3 and PGY4 residents, as determined by the PM&R Research Day Committee.
