Seeking Patient Care?
Welcome to the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences, at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. It is a privilege to lead the department as we move forward with medical technology in the 21st century. Our mission is to train outstanding obstetricians/gynecologists and subspecialists through education at all stages of development, provide the highest standards of patient care, and stay at the forefront of cutting edge research in our field.
The department has been providing excellence in women’s healthcare to patients across the state and around the world for over half a century. We offer a broad range of clinical services in general obstetrics and gynecology as well as specialized services in maternal-fetal medicine, reproductive endocrinology, gynecologic oncology, and urogynecology.
Our physicians are recruited from a diverse global community and they are recognized nationally and internationally for their expertise and cutting-edge clinical and research capabilities. Our department has participated in breakthrough research such as studies leading to the reduction of perinatal transmission of HIV from mother to child during pregnancy. Today, our physicians are exploring new treatments for gynecologic cancers.
Our residency program is one of the largest in the country and one of the few to now offer comprehensive robotics training as part of the curriculum. We interview the most competitive applicants from world renowned medical schools and accept eight new residents annually for a total of thirty two.
We also offer three fully ACGME accredited fellowship programs in Gynecologic Oncology, Maternal-Fetal Medicine, and Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility.
We are affiliated with some of the most prestigious in-patient facilities in the state of Florida including Jackson Memorial Hospital, University of Miami Hospital and Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center.
