The fellowship program in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (REI) at the University of Miami/Jackson Health System is a three-year training program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education. Our program is designed for those seeking eligibility to take the examinations for subspecialty certification by ABOG and places an emphasis on interdisciplinary and translational training and research. All fellows are expected to participate in both basic and clinical research training so that they may play a key role as future leaders in the subspecialty of REI.
Specifically, we strive to recruit the most promising graduates from an ACGME accredited Ob/Gyn residency program, to educate and train them over a period of 3 years with a view to ensuring that each fellow graduates as a highly competent REI physician, and to prepare them for future careers in academic medicine, research, and/or community- based practice. We strive to achieve these objectives within the context of a secure and nurturing learning environment that fosters scientific inquiry, promotes collaboration and assures excellence in state-of-the-art clinical care.
The program is based at Jackson Memorial Hospital, the primary teaching affiliate of the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, in addition to the University of Miami Hospital and Clinics. Jackson Memorial Hospital is a tertiary care referral center in South Florida and the surrounding domestic and international regions.
