Biography
Michele Dana Henner Stanchina, D.O., M.S. is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine in the Division of Hematology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. She completed her Hematology-Oncology fellowship at Jackson Memorial Hospital/University of Miami and is board-certified in hematology and oncology, specializing in hematologic malignancies with a focus on lymphoma.
Originally from New York, Dr. Stanchina earned her undergraduate degree from Skidmore College. She worked as a Clinical Research Coordinator for five years before earning a Master’s in Neuroscience at Tulane University. She completed her medical degree at NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine and her Internal Medicine residency at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai West-Morningside (St. Luke’s-Roosevelt) prior to her fellowship in Miami.
Dr. Stanchina’s clinical expertise includes the diagnosis and management of lymphoma and other hematologic malignancies, and she is actively involved in clinical research which focuses on novel therapies and treatment strategies for these diseases. Her work aims to improve patient outcomes through translational research that bridges laboratory discoveries with clinical application. -
