Translational Approaches of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology

Translational and Molecular Medicine Pathway

The Translational Approaches of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology focus area is designed to encourage scholarly activities within the medical student curriculum. Elective courses are available based on students’ needs. The Pathway in Molecular Medicine will provide a training opportunity that integrates fundamental principles of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (BMB) with human health and disease through basic or clinical research and mentorship by a scientist faculty member. 

Elective courses such as Medical Genetics, Structural Biology in Drug Design are available based on students’ needs. The focus area will provide a training opportunity that integrates fundamental principles of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology with human health and disease through basic or clinical research and mentorship by a scientist faculty member.
