The University of Miami’s Brain Endowment Bank™ is a National Institutes of Health (NIH) NeuroBioBank, one of six designated brain and tissue biorepositories in the nation. The Brain Endowment Bank encourages brain donation to support medical and scientific researchers, who study the human brain in search of better medications and treatments, and ultimately a cure for brain diseases and disorders.

Led by Dr. Alessia Fornoni and Dr. Alexis Sloan, RISE connects high school students, undergraduates, medical students, trainees, and early-career faculty with the resources, mentorship, and funding opportunities they need to build successful research careers.

SFSCIMS
The South Florida Spinal Cord Injury Model System SFSCIMS is one of only 14 sites in the country to receive the model systems designation by the National Institute of Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research. One of the primary purposes of the model systems program is to collect acute, rehabilitation, and follow-up data on patients with Spinal Cord Injuries.
