Menatella Nadim, M.D.

Menatalla Nadim (Menna) was born and raised in Egypt and received her MD from Ain Shams University, where she also completed her Clinical Pathology residency. She later earned a Master of Science in Biomedical Diagnostics from Arizona State University. Outside of medicine, she enjoys reading, practicing meditation, and woodworking. 

Nika Tavberdze, M.D.

Nika Tavberidze was born in Tbilisi, Republic of Georgia. He received his MD degree from Tbilisi State Medical University-Tbilisi. After graduating from medical school he joined the anatomic pathology residency program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he continued his training as a general surgical pathology fellow, focusing on pulmonary pathology. His academic interests include interstitial lung disease and non-neoplastic bone pathologies. In his free time, Nika enjoys climbing, drawing, or listening to Charli xcx.

Amr Abulaban, M.D.

Amr Abulaban was born and raised in Amman, Jordan. He received his MD in 2020 from the University of Jordan and is now pursuing Anatomic & Clinical Pathology Residency training. He enjoys cooking, reading, playing chess and video games.

Ilianne Vega Prado, M.D.

Ilianne Vega Prado was born in Santa Clara, Cuba, where she completed her medical education. Ilianne went on to complete her residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at The George Washington University in Washington, D.C., followed by fellowship training in Cytopathology. She is currently pursuing a subspecialty fellowship in Breast and Gynecologic Pathology. She has a strong passion for medical education and greatly enjoy spending time with my family.

Sibel Gultekin, M.D.

Sibel Gultekin was born in Bursa, Turkey. She received her medical degree from Cumhuriyet Universitesi, Turkey. She is currently pursuing Anatomic & Clinical Pathology Residency training.

Rayyan Sakr, M.D.

Rayyan Sakr was born and raised in Lebanon. She received her medical degree from Beirut Arab University and completed her anatomic pathology residency at the American University of Beirut Medical Center, where she also served as chief resident. Her interests include cytomorphology, molecular diagnostics, and the subtle beauty of cells and everyday life.

Alwalid Ammoun, M.D.

Alwalid Ammoun was born in Syria and grew up between there and Saudi Arabia, he earned my MD from Damascus University and completed my anatomic and clinical pathology residency at University Hospitals/Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, followed by a fellowship in oncologic surgical pathology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in Manhattan. Outside of work, he enjoys working out and spending time outdoors, especially playing soccer, tennis and most recently pickleball.

Felipe Camacho, M.D.

Felipe Camacho is from Quito, Ecuador. He received his MD from Universidad de Las Américas Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud. He enjoys cycling, cooking, watching movies, and spending time with his family.

Lin Li, M.D., Ph.D.

Lin Li was born and raised in China and moved to the United States after medical school. She received her MD from Shandong Medical University and her PhD in Human Genetics from Virginia Commonwealth University. She did an observership in pathology at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital before joining the program. She is pursuing Anatomic & Clinical Pathology Residency training. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and beautiful daughter, cooking, travel and hiking.

Taryme Lopez-Diaz, M.D.

Taryme Lopez-Diaz was born and raised in Puerto Rico, completed medical school in Universidad Autónoma de Gualajara Mexico, Pathology Residency at University of Louisville. In her free time, she likes to travel, spend time with family, go to the beach and scrapbook! 

Amanuel Kassa Tadesse, M.D.

Amanuel Kassa Tadesse was born and raised in Ethiopia, where he earned his medical degree from the University of Gondar, College of Medicine and Health Sciences. Amanuel later completed my residency in Anatomic Pathology at Addis Ababa University. His professional interests focus on cytopathology and head and neck pathology. In his free time, he enjoys watching movies and spending quality time with friends and family. 

Katherine Drews-Elger, M.D., Ph.D.

Katherine Drews-Elger was raised in Medellín, Colombia, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana. She then pursued a PhD in Biomedicine at Universität Pompeu Fabra (Barcelona, Spain), did her postdoctoral training in translational breast cancer research at the University of Miami and more recently she received an MD degree from Universidad CES (Medellin, Colombia). She is currently pursuing Anatomic & Clinical Pathology Residency training and has an interest in Hematopathology and Molecular Pathology. She enjoys coffee, languages, traveling, cycling, and spending time with friends and family.

Maikel Benitez Barzaga, M.D.

Maikel Benitez Barzaga was born and raised in Bayamo, Cuba. He received his MD in Cuba from the Universidad de Ciencias Medicas de Santiago de Cuba. He completed his Anatomic & Clinical Pathology Residency training at The George Washington University, Washington DC. His academic interests include Hematopathology and Surgical Pathology and in his spare time, he enjoys spending time with family, biking, and hiking.

Hisham Bahmad, M.D.

Hisham Bahmad was born and raised in Lebanon. He received his medical degree from Beirut Arab University, Beirut, Lebanon. He then pursued a Master of Science in Neuropsychology at the Lebanese University followed by an MBA in Healthcare Management at West Texas A&M University. He completed my Anatomic & Clinical Pathology Residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center of Florida. In his free time, he enjoy cooking and spending my time at the beach. 

Jean-Joel Awoumou Belinga, M.D.

Jean-Joel is a Physician and Pathologist, born, bread and trained in Cameroon. For several years he cared for patients in his country providing and improving diagnostics. He moved to the US and successfully completed Renal Fellowship at Johns Hopkins University. He is poised to complete a Neuropathology fellowship at Miami. His keen research interest is in the use of Artificial intelligence in diagnostics, especially prostate cancer. He has a passion for Medical Education. 

Stephanie Livingston, M.D.

Dr. Livingston is completed undergraduate studies at Tulane University, graduating Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Cell and Molecular Biology and Psychology. She is a Cum Laude graduate of St. George's Medical school, studying in the Caribbean, New York, France, England, and Prague. Dr. Livingston completed pathology residency at University of Tennessee in Memphis where she was chief resident, followed by neuropathology fellowship at NYU Langone before coming to University of Miami for Pediatric pathology fellowship. Dr. Livingston has many interests and hobbies, including painting, playing guitar, biking, and making YouTube videos.

Azeem Khan, M.D.

Azeem Khan graduated from the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine and received his medical degree in 2020 in Tampa, FL. He completed his anatomic and clinical pathology residency at Orlando Health in 2024 in Orlando, FL, and his hematopathology fellowship at MD Anderson Cancer Center in 2025 in Houston, TX. In his free time, he enjoys cooking and spending time with his family. 

Sailaja Golamari, M.D.

Sailaja Golamari was born and raised in India, where she received her MD followed by a residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology from Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences. She then relocated to Trinidad and Tobago with her family and worked as a Consultant Pathologist under the South-West Regional Health Authority. Driven by her passion to upgrade her skills and learn about the latest advancements in pathology, she is now pursuing a Surgical Pathology Fellowship at the Jackson Health System in the United States. Her areas of interest include Breast and Gynecologic pathology, Bone and Soft tissue pathology, and Hematopathology. In her leisure time, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and listening to music.
