Shasta Theodore. M.D.

Shasta Theodore was born in Houston, Texas and grew up in a small town just north of the city. After completing medical school at McGovern Medical School at the University of Texas Health Science Center Houston, she completed residency in Pathology at University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. There, her love of working with patients led her to develop an interest in Blood Banking/Transfusion Medicine. Shasta enjoys time with family, traveling, running and watching documentaries.

Fireneh Beshah, M.D.

I was born and raised in Bishoftu, Ethiopia. I finished medical school at Addis Ababa University, College of Health Sciences School of Medicine. I am interested in bone, soft tissue, and GI pathology. In my free time, I like to spend time watching movies and playing volleyball.

Hisham Bahmad, M.D.

I was born and raised in Lebanon. I received my medical degree from Beirut Arab University, Beirut, Lebanon. I then pursued a Master of Science in Neuropsychology at the Lebanese University followed by an MBA in Healthcare Management at West Texas A&M University. I completed my Anatomic & Clinical Pathology Residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center of Florida. In my free time, I enjoy cooking and spending my time at the beach.

Natalie Pula

Natalie Pula was born in New York. She received her BA from CUNY Baccalaureate for Unique and Interdisciplinary Studies, then received her MD Saint George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada, and lastly completed her Anatomic Pathology and Clinical Pathology at Virginia Commonwealth University Health System.

Temitope Kehinde, M.D.

Temitope Kehinde (TK) was born and raised in Lagos, Nigeria. He received his M.B.Ch.B from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State, Nigeria. He subsequently had a stint at St. George's University, Grenada, where he completed an International Teaching Fellowship. Following that, TK completed an Anatomic and Clinical Pathology Residency training at West Virginia University.

Taryme Lopez-Diaz, M.D.

Born and raised in Puerto Rico, completed medical school in Universidad Autónoma de Gualajara Mexico, Pathology Residency at University of Louisville, on my free time I like to travel, spend time with family, go to the beach and scrapbook!

Soe Htet Arker, M.D.

Dr. Arker was originally from Myanmar (Burma). He graduated from the University of Medicine, Mandalay. After moving to the United States, he pursued his post-graduate medical training in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at Albany Medical Center in Albany, NY. In his free time, he enjoys playing guitar and watching movies/TV series while spending time with his friends and family.

Juan Coca-Guzman, M.D.

Juan Coca Guzman was born in Bolivia and raised in Northern Virginia.  He received his MD from Georgetown University in Washington, DC and went on to complete his anatomic and clinical pathology residency training at SUNY Downstate Medical Center.  He enjoys trying new restaurants and practicing Brazilian jiu jitsu in his spare time.

Melissa Duarte

Melissa Duarte was born in New York, USA and raised in Bogota, Colombia. She received her MD from the Universidad El Bosque. After finishing the social service year, she started to be interested in Immunology. Later, she emigrated to the United States as an observer at University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital where she discovered her true passion in Pathology. Melissa completed her Anatomic & Clinical Pathology Residency training at University of Miami/Jackson Health System and will complete a Hematopathology fellowship in 2024-25. In her free time, she enjoys swimming at the beach, and spending time with “abuela” with a good cup of Colombian coffee.

Varsha Prakash, M.D.

I was born and raised in India. I received my MD from Government Medical College Thiruvananthapuram, India. I relocated to the United States with my family. I completed my Anatomic & Clinical Pathology Residency training at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. My other fields of interest are Breast and Genitourinary Pathology. In my leisure time, I enjoy Indian classical dancing, spending quality time with my husband and son, watching movies, and traveling.

Diego Montoya

Diego Montoya was born and raised in Lima, Peru. He received his MD in Peru from the Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia Facultad de Medicina and completed his Anatomic & Clinical Pathology Residency training at University of Miami/Jackson Health System. His academic interests include Bone and Soft Tissue Pathology and Pediatric Pathology. In his spare time, he enjoys natural history and art museums, soccer, and cooking.

Yesica Miltos, M.D.

Yesica Miltos received her MD from Universidad Austral Medical School, where as a Med Student she served as a Histology teaching assistant for two years. She completed her Anatomic & Clinical Pathology Residency training at the University of Miami/Jackson Health System, earning her AP/CP board certification. Her areas of interest include Cytopathology and Head & Neck pathology, where she takes an integrated approach to cases by performing FNA and Rapid on-site evaluations. Outside of work, Yesica enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, and traveling.

Jessica Alvarez Lesmes, M.D.

Jessica Alvarez Lesmes was born and raised in Barranquilla, Colombia. She received her MD from the Universidad del Norte in Colombia and came to United States for pathology rotations during her medical internship.  She completed her Anatomic & Clinical Pathology Residency training at University of Miami/Jackson Health System. Her area of interest is Hematopathology and will be completing a fellowship in 2023-24 followed by a Head & Neck Pathology fellowship in 2024-25. She enjoys outside activities such as running, rollerblading or simply walking around the Brickell area.

Javier Sanchez Ortiz, M.D.

Javier is a board certified Anatomic and Forensic pathologist. He was born and raised in Puerto Rico, received his M.D. degree from the Universidad Central del Este, D.R., completed his residency program at the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine, followed by two fellowships in his areas of academic interest (Forensic pathology - Office of the Medical Examiner at Broward County, Fort Lauderdale & Selective Breast/Gyn pathology - UMass Memorial/UMass Chan Med. School). Dr. Sánchez-Ortiz has worked as a forensic pathologist for the Institute of Forensic Sciences in Puerto Rico. Additional areas of academic interest include neurodegenerative diseases and glial/nonglial neoplasms.

Armin Attaranzadeh, M.D.

Armin Attaranzadeh was born in Mashhad, Iran, where he completed his MD at Birjand University of Medical Sciences and his AP/CP pathology GI complemantary trainings at Mashhad University of Medical Sciences. He pursued further specialization with a fellowship in molecular pathology and cytogenetics at Shiraz University of Medical Sciences. Moving to the United States, he commenced his career as a life science researcher at Stanford University. Currently, he is undertaking a fellowship in perinatal and pediatric pathology scheduled for completion in 2024-25. His research interests encompass AI in pathology, pediatric, GYN, GI, and molecular pathology. Beyond his professional pursuits, Armin enjoys reading, photography, outdoor hiking, and music.

Luiz De Lima Guido

Luiz De Lima Guido was born and raised in Recife, Brazil. He received his MD from the Universidade Federal de Pernambuco. He moved to the United States for a series of observerships in Anatomical Pathology, including the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital and Mount Sinai Medical Center of Florida. Luiz completed his Anatomic & Clinical Pathology Residency training at the University of Miami/Jackson Health System. He will be completing a fellowship in Hematopathology fellowship in 2024-25. His current research is in Genitourinary Pathology, Gynecopathology and Cytopathology. Areas of interest include Breast Pathology, Gynecologic Pathology, Genitourinary Pathology and Pediatric Pathology. He also enjoys reading, photography, outdoor sports and playing the guitar.

Attila Molnar, M.D.

Attila Molnar was born and raised in Hungary. He received his MD from the Semmelweis University School of Medicine, Budapest, Hungary. He was an observer for a month at the University of Miami Hospital in 2017. Attila completed his Anatomic & Clinical Pathology Residency training at Mount Sinai West-St. Luke's program in NYC. He completed his mandatory forensic rotation and became a volunteer at the OCME in Manhattan.  During this time, he developed an interest in forensic medicine and pursued a career in this field. He was accepted to the forensic pathology fellowship program in Miami-Dade County for the academic year 2025-2026. He enjoys fishing, cooking, spending time outdoors and spending time with his family.

Ateeqa Mujeeb Ullah, M.D.

Ateeqa was born in Punjab, Pakistan and raised in Kuwait. She received her M.B.B.S from Rawalpindi Medical University, Pakistan. She then completed her Anatomic & Clinical Pathology Residency training at NYU Grossman Long Island School of Medicine. Ateeqa is passionate about Gastrointestinal/Liver Pathology, creating art and capturing nature through her lens.
