The Molecular Microbiology Laboratory provides molecular laboratory testing services for infectious diseases.

The challenges of 2020 have engaged all faculty and trainees of the Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine.  Seeking excellence in patient care by providing timely cutting edge diagnostic testing for COVID-19 resulted in the creation of a special team of clinical pathologists to address both the testing needs of in-patients and out-patients as well as the student body of the university.  Innovation, integrity, and impressive work ethic has been the key to our success.  For UHealth, this challenge has been led by Dr. Yi Zhou.  Dr. Zhou is a hematopathologist with over 25 years of experience.  He works in tandem with Dr.  David Andrews, a clinical pathologist, with over 30 years of experience in laboratory medicine.  Our response has and will continue to embody the mission of the Miller School of Medicine to improve patient care.
