The purpose of the Department of Medical Education Professional Travel Grant is to encourage clinician educators and educational scholars to conduct and disseminate scholarly activities related to medical education at the national/international stage. These presentations are expected to enhance the educational reputation of the Miller School of Medicine as well as to provide opportunities for professional collaboration and networking for our faculty.
Eligibility criteria: Your project must be directly related to medical education. This travel award is available to assistant and associate professors who present their work at a peer-reviewed international/national conference as a first/presenting/senior author. Ineligible applications will be filtered out without further notice. Preference will be given to those presentations where a trainee is included in the project/author list.

We are now accepting applications for conference travel occurring between June 1, 2023 - May 31, 2024. We will grant five awards up to $1,000 for the period of June 1, 2023 – November 30, 2023, and another five awards for the period of December 1, 2023 – May 31, 2024.
