Throughout the year, the Academy sponsors workshops on a range of topics pertaining to the roles of a medical educator and educational scholarship. It also offers training to assist educator faculty interested in preparing for academic promotion (e.g., preparation of an academic CV or educator portfolio). The Academy works collaboratively with the Gordon Center for Medical Education and the Office of Faculty Affairs and Development to implement programs to will benefit Academy members and the Miller Medical School community. Gordon Center for Medical Education offers periodic trainings on the development of simulation based educational programs and the Office of Faculty Affairs and Development offers broader faculty development and mentoring programs and is the primary resource for guidance on promotion.
