The Miller School of Medicine employs a data-driven approach in pursuit of continuous quality improvement and academic excellence. The Learner Assessment and Clinical Evaluation (LACE) team plays a crucial role in transforming how we assess students and evaluate our curriculum.
By advocating for the implementation of diverse formative and summative assessment methods, LACE ensures the attainment of educational goals and institutional education objectives at the Miller School of Medicine.
LACE actively contributes to the ongoing improvement of the curriculum by meticulously monitoring program evaluation data, including student outcomes. This involves regular reviews of courses, clerkships, and different phases of the curriculum. The team consistently shares its findings and recommendations with the Executive Curriculum Committee, which holds overarching responsibility for managing the curriculum. Through these efforts, LACE strives to uphold the high standards of education and foster continuous enhancement within the Miller School of Medicine.

NextGenMD Dashboard
The Academic Dashboard and student E-Portfolio is a purpose built tool that displays student performance data to help improve the curriculum and provide feedback and guidance to our learners. Registered Longitudinal Clinical Educators (LCEs), and medical school leadership can log in through the link below using their SSO credentials. LCEs will find their assigned students in the LCE advising tab. For E-portfolio or Dashboard instruction or help, first review the voiceover narrative power point. If you need additional assistance or feel the resources of the E-portfolio or Dashboard can support your work in the Miller School of Medicine, please reach out to Dr. Matthew Imm at mimm@med.miami.edu.
