Observerships

Desai Sethi Urology Institute
Miami Urology has a robust observership program for international candidates interested in andrology and male infertility.

We offer scheduled observership rotations spanning one, two, or four weeks at UHealth Tower and will be happy to provide shadowing experience for any prospective observer candidate. We will offer programs that are longer than 4 weeks for highly interested candidates, but only on a case-by-case basis.

A certified check or money order needs to accompany the application and should be made payable to the Miller School's Department of Urology. Personal checks are not accepted.

You will find the observer application below. It is pre-populated with some of the necessary information. You will need to complete and sign the form. You will present this completed application to the UHealth Tower Medical Staff Office on your first day, along with the following: your CV, a government issued ID (driver’s license, passport, etc.) and your immunization record.

Bring your application and supporting documents to the Medical Staff Office at the hospital (open 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.) on your first day. At this point, hospital security will issue you an Observer Badge. With that, you’ll be all set to observe in the OR/Clinic.
