Our faculty is dedicated to cultivating residents' expertise in urologic pathology, surgical proficiency, and professional development through hands-on learning, mentorship, and scholarly engagement.
Comprehensive Clinical Training
Residents are immersed in a high-volume, high-acuity clinical environment—one of the busiest and most dynamic in the country. Our program offers a diverse, multidisciplinary experience across several leading institutions, all located within one square mile:
- UHealth Tower – A 600-bed private tertiary care hospital
- Jackson Memorial Hospital – A 1,498-bed public hospital and Level 1 trauma center
- Miami VA Medical Center – A 500-bed facility with a premier spinal cord injury unit
- Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center – An NCI-designated cancer center and one of only two in Florida
This unique structure ensures residents gain experience managing a wide range of urologic conditions—from routine to the most complex—while treating patients from South Florida, the Caribbean, Latin America, and beyond.
