Elisabeth Lorié

Director, Administrative Operations

Ms. Lorie is the Director for the Department of Medical Education. She manages the fiscal and HR functions for the department. She oversees the monthly Medical Education Grand Rounds Series, the Medical Education Journal Club, and other Medical Education conferences and workshops, faculty development activities, and special events. She also coordinates the Leadership Education and Academic Development (LEAD) Program.

Xiaoqing Zhang, Ph.D.

Project Manager, Education & Research Support

Dr. Xiaoqing Zhang is a project manager for education & scholarship support. She oversees the planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of all faculty scholarly projects within the Department of Medical Education. She also coordinates educational research activities and provides support to educational faculty in the application for educational grants.

Sade Poleon, MBA, SSBB

Sr. Manager, Programs

Sade Poleon is a Sr. Manager of Programs. She oversees all courses and clerkship evaluations. Additionally, she is the administrative officer coordinating all activities for the school’s LCME Accreditation.

Lourdes Padron

Executive Assistant to Latha Chandran, M.D., M.P.H., M.B.A.

Ms. Lourdes Padron is Executive Assistant to Dr. Latha Chandran, Executive Dean of Education and Policy and founding Chair for the Department of Medical Education. She is also the administrative coordinator of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society and the Gold Humanism Honor Society Miami Chapters.

Tara Saltzman, Ph.D.

Executive Director, Medical Education

Dr. Tara Saltzman is the Executive Director for Medical Education and serves as the administrative leader and senior management advisor to Dr. Latha Chandran, Chair of the Department of Medical Education and Executive Dean for Education and Policy. As a liaison for the department leadership, she oversees the business operations and educational administration, strategic initiatives, contracts, operations, purchasing, capital improvements, HR and fiscal functions of the  Department of Medical Education, including the Offices of Undergraduate, Graduate and Continuing Medical Education as well as Graduate Studies.
