We are pleased to offer competitive financial assistance programs including merit scholarships and institutional need-based grants. Students accepted for the class of 2030 will automatically be considered for merit scholarships based on information included with their AMCAS application. No additional action is required to be considered for a merit scholarship.
To apply for institutional need-based grants please note the following:
The deadline to submit all requirements for consideration for institutional need-based grants is: December 12th, 2025.
Accepted applicants who apply for institutional, need-based grants are required to submit a CSS Profile. Individuals who will be 30 years of age or younger as of December 31, 2026, will be required to provide parental information.

Applicants who submit a CSS Profile are automatically invited to submit related documents through the College Board’s Institutional Documentation Service (IDOC). These documents are required to complete your application for institutional need-based grants.
Accepted applicants who qualified for an AMCAS fee-waiver may request a waiver for the cost of the CSS Profile by emailing medfinaid@miami.edu.
Applicants for institutional need-based grants will also need to submit their social security number. A link to a secure form will be provided to all accepted applicants.
Though the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) is not required to apply for scholarships or institutional need-based aid, accepted applicants should submit a FAFSA to apply for federal student loan funds. More information about applying for FAFSA will be provided to accepted students.
