Accepted applicants who apply for institutional, need-based grants are required to submit a CSS Profile. Individuals who will be 26 years of age or younger as of December 31^st, 2024, will be required to provide parental information.

Accepted applicants who qualified for an AMCAS fee-waiver may request a waiver for the cost of the CSS Profile by emailing medfinaid@miami.edu

For the purpose of completing the FAFSA and financial aid, all medical students are considered independent.

Medical students are considered independent for purposes of completing the FAFSA and are not required to provide parental information.

Students can apply for loans at any point within the academic year.  When requesting loans students should allow for processing time of up to 10 business days.

Students can receive up to the cost of attendance for the academic year.

Most educational loans do not have to be repaid right after graduation. Students will receive detailed information about loan repayment through our financial literacy program.

Your credit history can affect eligibility for GradPlus loans.  Information about credit requirements for Grad PLUS loans is available at https://studentaid.gov/sites/default/files/plus-adverse-credit.pdf.
