Created in partnership with the Miller School’s Department of Medical Education and the Global Institute, this one-year program gives globally-minded students the skills and knowledge to tackle medical challenges worldwide — and in underserved communities closer to home.
The M.S. in Global Medical Sciences takes an interdisciplinary approach that fosters collaboration across disciplines. The 30-credit degree program is hybrid, consisting of a mix of online coursework and experiential learning. Students will take foundational courses on ethics, global health challenge and interprofessional health care, then choose electives based on their interests and goals.
A key highlight of the program is a faculty-led study abroad opportunity that allows students to explore different health care systems around the world.
