Mission
The mission of CAPiTTAL is to create a dynamic and sustainable ecosystem for physical therapist educators (didactic and clinical) across the learning continuum to cultivate a learner-centered, scholarly, and inclusive culture of teaching and learning in which all learners and educators thrive.Vision
The vision for CAPiTTAL is to develop a community in which resources, solutions, and strategies can be cultivated to enhance scholarship, leadership, and teaching and learning practice. The CAPiTTAL community will initially consist of three interrelated areas of focus: professional development, faculty development, and scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL).
- Promote conversations between educators within the department, the university, the community (national and international) to develop a synergy and ignite new lines of inquiry
- Advocate for support, review, recognition, and appropriate uses of the scholarship of teaching and learning.
Disseminate innovative pedagogy, results of SoTL through quality scholarly outlets, including grand rounds, peer reviewed journals, state, national, and international conferences/meetings - Advance physical therapy scholarship interdepartmentally and collaboratively to improve learning
- Provide mentorship and support for professional and post-professional physical therapy faculty development
- Enhance opportunities for funding for physical therapy educational research through growth of collaborative networks
