Mission & Vision
Our mission, at the Jackson Memorial Hospital/University of Miami Orthopaedic Trauma Fellowship, is to provide the highest quality surgical, clinical, and research education in the field of Orthopaedic Trauma Surgery. Our vision is to be a preeminent nationally and internationally recognized leader in orthopaedic education and research as well as to be a leading center of innovation and surgical excellence.
We take seriously our responsibility to provide the highest level of orthopaedic care to the people of Miami-Dade County as well as to all those from near and far that seek our help. We also aim to prepare our graduates to be leading clinician scientists who will serve as assets to their community, strong mentors to future generations of surgeons, and drivers of clinical excellence and scientific discovery.

- Current or Graduated Orthopaedic Surgery Resident
- Application through the OTA Fellow (Orthopaedic Trauma Association) San Francisco Match
Personal Statement
- USMLE Step 1,Step 2 CK, Step 2 CS, and Step 3 completion score reports
- 3 Letters of recommendation (One of which should be from the program director or chairman)
- Board exam requirements: USMLE 1-3, Eligible for Florida Medical License
The fellowship is one year dedicated to orthopaedic trauma surgery. The typically weekly schedule is as follows:
- Monday - Ryder Trauma (Jackson Memorial) OR
- Tuesday - Jackson South OR
- Wednesday - Ryder Trauma (Jackson Memorial) OR
- Thursday - Jackson Memorial Orthopaedic Trauma Clinic
- Friday - Ryder Trauma (Jackson Memorial) OR
