Mission & Vision
The mission of the University of Miami / Jackson Memorial Hospital Hand Surgery Fellowship Program and the Department of Orthopaedics at the Miller School of Medicine is to serve our patient population to the best of our ability with integrity and empathy. At the same time, we inspire the highest level of orthopaedic hand and microvascular surgery education with grounded mentorship, uncompromising patient care, and diverse surgical training.
Our training goals are to advance education and training in hand and microvascular surgery while providing the highest quality medical and surgical care through a unique combination of charitable services, integrated learning, and innovative research. Recognizing the critical importance of surgical competency, successful passage of board certification, and securing an ideal job and position in the field, our department’s faculty strives to provide an ideal learning environment and educational opportunities for our fellows, residents, and medical students.
