Felix de la Caridad Hernandez is a physician from Cuba who in the US obtained his Master of Science- Family Nurse Practitioner from Ana G Mendez University. Felix enjoys the wide variety of clinical cases seen in nephrology and also caring for dialysis patients. Jean S. Jeanty represents compassion, reliability, and dedication as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center Board (FNP-BC) in 2018, he embarked on his nursing journey in diverse fields such as Med-Surge, Ortho, Telemetry, and ICU. Interacting with patients from various ethnicities and backgrounds enriched his ability to approach, advocate for, and treat each individual with profound respect and dignity. His overarching mission is to empower patients through education, comprehend their disease processes, and aid them in achieving optimal health while mitigating the progression of chronic kidney disease and managing hypertension. Above all, he extends familial care to every patient under his watch.

Pura Margarita Teixeiro is an experienced Advanced Practice Registered Nurse Practitioner (APRN) who has been working at the University of Miami since July 1992. She completed her BSN from the University of Miami School of Nursing in 1997 and her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Miami in May 2003. She is a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and a member of the National Kidney Foundation and the Florida Society of Nephrology. She has 20 years of experience caring for patients with End Stage Kidney Disease on dialysis and during the last four years has expanded her practice to managing patients with Chronic Kidney Disease Stages 1-5. She is culturally sensitive, bilingual, empathetic, and mature. She is respected by her colleagues and loved by her patients.
