Dr. Ahmad Zaghw
Fellow, Transplant Anesthesia
"My interest for Transplant anesthesia started when I did elective rotation in Jackson Memorial Hospital, Miami, in 2016 while I was an anesthesia resident in Weill Cornell affiliated residency program in Qatar. What ignited my interest was the complexity of liver cases, advanced intraoperative monitoring, up-to-date technological tools and multidisciplinary team.
I graduated from Ainshams university in Cairo, Egypt, in 2011, then I joined as medical researcher and editor-in-chief in the "PERFUSE" research group in Beth Israel Deaconess Center in Harvard University. My interest has led me to Biomedical Statistics Certificate from the Catalyst platform. However, I have done an advanced anesthesia fellowship last year, I believe the liver transplant program is more intense and rewarding regarding the knowledge and skills needed for any academic anesthesiologist.
