The Florida Puerto Collaboration to Reduce Stroke Disparities at University of Miami is one of four research centers designed to develop high-impact culturally tailored interventions aimed at lowering stroke risk among racial and ethnic minorities in the United States.

Together, the centers are expected to receive $40 million in funding over five years from the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS), part of the National Institutes of Health.

The other three centers include:

  • Kaiser Permanente Northern California and the University of California, San Francisco
  • New York University Langone Medical Center & Columbia University Medical Center
  • University of California, Los Angeles
