The Participant Center is loaded with online tools that will help set-up and organize your fundraising efforts. Here, you can customize your personal page and URL, send emails to family and friends, track your progress, and more.
Can I choose where my funds go?
Yes, when creating your page, just select from the drop down menu and choose the area that you wish to support.
Is there a minimum fundraising requirement?
There is no minimum requirement to fundraise through UCARE. Feel free to set a fundraising goal that works for you — from $50 to $50,000. It all helps to make a difference.
Do I have to complete my fundraising within a particular time frame?
No, but setting a time frame lends itself to a successful fundraising effort, which will help you reach your goal.
Are donations tax deductible and how do I get a receipt?
The University of Miami is a 501© 3 nonprofit, tax-exempt organization designated by the internal revenue code. All online donations receive a tax receipt via email.
Will my address, phone number and email address by used for anything else?
The privacy of our donors is paramount to us, and we do not share or sell this information.
