Vascular and Endovascular Surgery

The Division of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine is a nationally and internationally recognized leader. The division is dedicated to delivering compassionate, state-of-the-art vascular care while advancing the field through innovation, research, and surgical education.

As part of the DeWitt Daughtry Family Department of Surgery, the division integrates academic medicine with high-performing clinical operations to provide comprehensive care for complex arterial and venous disease. Our board-certified vascular surgeons are experts in open vascular surgery, minimally invasive endovascular procedures, and complex aortic interventions, serving as a regional, national, and international referral center for advanced vascular care.

Vascular and Endovascular Surgical Care Locations

The Division of Vascular Surgery delivers the full spectrum of vascular and endovascular surgical services across:

UHealth Tower

Jackson Memorial Hospital

Miami VA Healthcare System

This integrated care model supports high procedural volumes, efficient patient access, and coordinated vascular care throughout Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties, with referrals from Central and South America and the Caribbean.

Advanced Endovascular Technology and One-Stop Care

Surgeries are performed in a modern endovascular suite equipped with advanced imaging technology, enabling a full range of diagnostic angiography and endovascular interventions. Treatment decisions are individualized, with no preference for one technique over another—patients are presented with all appropriate surgical and endovascular options.

To promote efficiency and a one-stop vascular care model, patients are encouraged to bring prior imaging and diagnostic studies to their initial visit. When indicated, diagnostic angiography and intervention can often be performed during the same encounter, minimizing delays and reducing repeat hospital visits.

Academic Excellence, Research, and Training

The division plays a vital role in vascular surgery research and education, with faculty surgeons leading clinical trials, outcomes research, and innovation initiatives. The division also trains future vascular surgeons through our ACGME accredited residency and fellowship programs.

Postoperative care is supported by experienced intensive care, anesthesia, and rehabilitation teams, ensuring seamless care from diagnosis through recovery. Each year, hundreds of patients benefit from the division’s expertise - improving circulation, preventing limb loss, and enhancing quality of life.
