The Division of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and Advanced General Dentistry at the Miller School of Medicine’s DeWitt Daughtry Family Department of Surgery offers patients top-notch patient care, consultation, and treatment for a variety of conditions of the mouth, head, and neck.

The division offers a wide range of services including routine dental examinations, cleanings, and X-rays, and sophisticated treatments such as orthognathic surgery, cancer surgery, and reconstructive surgery.

Many cutting-edge clinical procedures also are performed here. These include: head and neck tumor surgery, trauma management, reconstructive jaw surgery, dental implants, snoring, cosmetic surgery, growth factors and stem cell promoted bone regeneration. The division is considered a pioneer in many of these areas, and as a result, the residency and fellowship programs are highly sought after.

Patient services take place in one of four facilities on the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Medical Center campus—the University of Miami Hospital Office, Jackson South Community Hospital/Deering Medical Plaza Office, and the Miami Veterans Administration Medical Center.
