The Faculty and Staff Assistance Program (FSAP) provides free and confidential consultation and referral services to University of Miami faculty, staff, and retirees, as well as their domestic partners, spouses, and dependents. Sessions are conducted by licensed professionals who assess concerns, offer support, and recommend services.

Mental Health Online Assessment

Behavioral health – which includes mental health, substance use, and more – is a key part of your overall well-being. Brief screenings are the quickest way to determine if you or someone you care about should connect with a behavioral health professional. Think of these as a checkup from your neck up. This program is completely anonymous and confidential, and immediately following the brief questionnaire, you will see your results, recommendations, and key resources.

Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR) Gatekeeper Training for Suicide Prevention

QPR is a mental health gatekeeper training program intended to teach others to recognize and respond proactively to individuals who may be a potential threat to themselves. The QPR online training program will teach gatekeepers how to recognize warning signs for suicide, question intent around suicide, persuade the individual to seek help and refer people to resources.

As members of the PBCMS, residents and fellows are entitled to access the Physician Wellness Program (PWP). The PWP offers six (6) complementary, confidential counseling sessions per calendar year. The PWP is a self-referred program designed for physicians to be proactive to address and prevent burnout.
