The Office of Graduate Medical Education (GME) provides oversight for all clinical training programs at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and Jackson Health System/Jackson Memorial Hospital and on the Regional Campus.
These educational programs are comprehensive, competency based and in compliance with all institutional and program-specific standards established by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). In addition, the Office of Graduate Medical Education supports the Resident Scholarly Activity Program, and Quality Improvement Project Support (QuIPS) Program, and the Cultural Competency Program.
Under the leadership of Yvonne Diaz, MD, Associate Dean for Graduate Medical Education, and Designated Institutional Official for the University of Miami/Jackson Health System, the Office of Graduate Medical Education is committed to sustaining academic excellence and fostering the professional development and personal growth of our trainees. Dr. Diaz is joined in this effort by Daniel Lichtstein, MD, Regional Dean and Designated Institutional Official for the UM/JFK Palm Beach Regional GME Consortium, and Frederick K. Williams, MD, FACP Program Director and Designated Institution Official for the UM at Holy Cross Hospital programs.
The Graduate Medical Education Office is located on the Medical Campus of the Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine and the Jackson Memorial Hospital complex in Miami, FL (Rosenstiel Medical Science Building, Suite 1149, 1600 NW 10th Avenue, Miami, FL 33136).
