We offer a variety of internal funding opportunities to facilitate new, multidisciplinary research aligned with our strategic areas of focus.
The Team Science Award is an internally funded initiative at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine designed to accelerate high-impact, collaborative research. This award recognizes and supports select research teams that are actively engaged in strategic projects through our research retreats and interdisciplinary initiatives. By providing a critical infusion of funding, the Team Science Award empowers scientists to further develop their projects, generate compelling preliminary data, and position themselves for future external funding opportunities.
Unlike traditional grant programs, the Team Science Award is not open for applications. Instead, it is awarded to exceptional teams demonstrating innovative, collaborative research that aligns with the school’s strategic priorities.
This funding serves as a catalyst for discovery, enabling teams to refine their hypotheses, expand their methodologies, and strengthen their competitive edge in securing additional support from national funding agencies.
