Program Scholarships

Applicants who submit their application by the program deadline of May 15th will automatically be considered for a tuition waiver by the MiBS program. No separate application is required to be considered.

Office of Financial Assistance

For students who need additional financial support, financial aid is available through federal and private loans. Applicants will automatically be considered for a limited number of scholarships. Both federal and private educational loans require students to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. The FAFSA helps lenders determine a student’s eligibility for aid and the amount of assistance needed. State and institutional aid sources also require a completed FAFSA. Please refer to the Office of Graduate Professional Financial Assistance’s website for further loan information (including loan opportunities for international students).

Health Insurance

Graduate students enrolled full-time at the University of Miami must obtain adequate health insurance. The university offers a student health insurance plan through the student health service. The annual health insurance plan premium is added to student fees at the start of the academic year.

U.S. citizens and permanent residents with adequate health insurance may request to waive the insurance fee via CaneLink.
