UHealth Tower

The 560-bed facility is the region’s first university-owned, multi-specialty, acute care hospital and the flagship facility of UHealth – University of Miami Health System. Today at UHealth Tower, physicians on the faculty of the Miller School of Medicine partner with community physicians to plan and provide care, investigate new treatments still in the clinical research phase, and utilize the most advanced technologies available. 

Lennar Foundation Medical Center

The Lennar Foundation Medical Center is a 200,000-square-foot outpatient center on the University of Miami’s (UM) Coral Gables campus that provides easy health care access to leading physicians for students, faculty, staff, and surrounding communities.

The Lennar Foundation Medical Center delivers specialty care by the renowned Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, Bascom Palmer Eye Institute (ranked the No. 1 eye hospital in the nation for 17 years by U.S. News & World Report), and UM’s Sports Medicine Institute.

Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center

Part of UHealth — University of Miami Health System and the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, is the only cancer center in South Florida designated by the National Cancer Institute. NCI designation recognizes that Sylvester has met the most rigorous standards for cancer research, beginning in our laboratories, extending to patient care, and meeting specific needs in our community. 

Sylvester is known as South Florida’s leader in patient-focused cancer research and care, offering the only Phase 1 Clinical Trials program – the first step in evaluating how patients respond to the latest investigational treatments. NCI designation further expands Sylvester’s ability to provide access to novel therapies through more clinical trials and collaboration with other designated centers. Equipped with a highly qualified team of more than 300 cancer-focused physicians and researchers working together, Sylvester discovers, develops, and delivers more precision cancer care. To serve current and future patients, Sylvester has a network of conveniently located outpatient treatment facilities throughout South Florida.

Jackson Memorial Hospital

Jackson Memorial Hospital, the third-largest public hospital in America, is a non-profit tertiary care hospital and is one of the main teaching facility for the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. With more than 1,550 licensed beds, Jackson Memorial Hospital is a magnet for medical research and home to the Ryder Trauma Center - the only Level 1 Adult and Pediatric trauma center in Miami-Dade. Jackson Memorial Hospital is also the third-largest teaching hospital in the United States with an average of 1,068 residents trained a year. 

Jackson South Medical Center

 Jackson South Medical Center offers a full spectrum of services and staffed by nationally respected, board-certified physicians and healthcare professionals who practice a wide array of specialties and subspecialties. The hospital offers new private rooms, an expanded emergency department, new operating room suites with state-of-the-art technology, and more. Every year, more than 3,400 surgeries performed at Jackson South and approximately 37,000 people visit the emergency department.

Miami VA Healthcare System

The Miami VA Healthcare System serves Veterans in three South Florida counties: Miami-Dade, Broward and Monroe, with an estimated Veteran population of 149,704 and operates 372 hospital beds. The Miami VA Healthcare System is an accredited comprehensive medical provider, providing general medical, surgical, inpatient and outpatient mental health services. 

Nicholas Children’s Hospital

Founded in 1950 by Variety Clubs International, Nicklaus Children's Hospital is South Florida's only licensed specialty hospital exclusively for children, with nearly 800 attending physicians and more than 475 pediatric subspecialists. The 309-bed hospital, known as Miami Children's Hospital from 1983 through 2014, is renowned for excellence in all aspects of pediatric medicine, with many programs routinely ranked among the nation's best by U.S. News & World Report, since 2008.
