Pediatricians in the Section of Primary Care Pediatrics at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine seek to improve the lives of children and families in South Florida and beyond by providing excellent clinical care, conducting research, teaching medical students and residents, and serving as advocates for children in the community, throughout the state, and nationally. Our practice offers exceptional primary health care services for children – from newborns to young adults (age 21).

As part of the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, we are the only practice of its kind in South Florida. Our faculty members are experts in the care of children, and all work in locations that are level 3 Pediatric Medical Home-certified. In fact, the Miller School of Medicine has more primary care pediatricians named to the Best Doctors in America list than any other pediatric health network in Florida.

When a pediatric specialist is needed, as part of the comprehensive healthcare services network, UHealth is able to provide patients and their families seamless access to our colleagues in a variety of pediatric specialties like cardiology, endocrinology, nephrology and hematology/oncology. We work as a team that includes patients, families, pediatricians, and specialists to put together a treatment plan, allowing for the best possible outcome.

In addition, our pediatric faculty members are advocates for child health in the community, serving on the Governor’s Advisory Committees, lobbying the state government on issues surrounding child health, and working on national American Academy of Pediatrics’ committees and sections.

Our pediatricians are involved in cutting edge research that leads the way to the newest and best approaches to the care of children.
